Dr.
Bruce A. Spear is the pastor of EPC. Bruce and his
wife, Susan, have been residents of the Denver area for more
than three decades. After receiving his Master of Divinity
degree from Denver Seminary in 1991, he joined Bear Creek
Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lakewood where he served for
16 years. While at Bear Creek, a mid-size church with about 450
members, Bruce was Associate Pastor in charge of adult
education, congregational care and small groups..
Just prior to joining EPC, Bruce served as interim pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church for a year. There, he became known and loved, helping to stabilize attendance, maintain stewardship levels, revitalize fellowship programs and even build a new roof, debt-free.
Susan, a teacher and instructional coach, is also an accomplished musician and, in fact, serves as our organist and accompanist.
Mark
Richards is our Youth Ministry and Contemporary Worship
Director. Mark, his wife Brenda, and children, Faith and Grant,
came to us from Bellevue, Nebraska where Mark was director of
Youth Ministry at Thanksgiving! Lutheran Church. Mark is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and has led youth and contemporary worship ministries at Presbyterian churches in Colorado and Nebraska. Combining his youth leadership, musical and media technology expertise, Mark has become a skilled praise team leader and found particular success in getting young people involved in worship, forming youth worship teams, teaching both the instrumental and the technological aspects of producing a high-quality worship experience.
