Seniors Ministry

The EPC Seniors Ministry is a growing mission working to find ways of meeting the needs of seniors in our community. One of those needs is for socializing and companionship.

You’re never too old to play games

The ministry team is offering a regularly scheduled Game Day on the third Thursday of each month, providing a time for fellowship and fun. From 11:00 a.m. until about 2:00 p.m., tables are set up in the fellowship area of the church. On those days, some 20 to 30 people gather to laugh, talk and play games like Dominoes, Rummicube, Yahtzee, and various card games.

People come from other churches in the area. People who aren’t involved in a church at all come, too. The ministry has hosted seniors from 50 to 90 years of age, although all ages are welcome. Older people actually like talking to younger people. And younger people have much to gain by spending time with the wise ones of our community. All are invited to be involved in this vital ministry.

 Speakers

In addition, the seniors ministry periodically hosts speakers on topics from staying fit to steering clear of scams.

If you have a heart for seniors and would like to contribute your time and ideas to growing this ministry, we would welcome you. You can call the church office (303-646-4825) or Marianne Wood (303-688-3136) to find out when the next Seniors Ministry Team meeting will be held.
