This Psalm lets us know that our prayer life is never a matter of either despair or belief. Either sorrow or praise. Either grief or trust. This Psalm lets us know that it is always a matter of both. A matter of all of the above. And. Yet. This is the Psalm that we can claim in our Lament. Because God is in our midst. No matter what we face, God is with us.
