This is the account of the raising of Lazarus, Jesus' friend and Mary and Martha's brother. However, it is about more than the miracle of his being raised. This account spends much time on the grief that surrounds the story, giving space for the sacredness of sadness and lament, holding that tension between lament and hope. Both are central to the story. Both are part of who we are as resurrection people.
This week’s scripture passages include: Ezekiel 37:1-14, John 11:1-45
